Clearing out a broken-down vehicle or tracking down parts online is pretty simple when you’re dealing with a top-rated salvage spot like Automax Auto Parts and Salvage. They pay quick cash for junk cars and run a solid online marketplace where you can buy quality used auto parts without much fuss.
I actually called them up last year when a buddy needed a quick replacement alternator, and their team pointed us straight to their digital inventory. For buyers, their inventory is huge and covers just about every brand and model year you can think of.
On top of that, they will tow your vehicle from your driveway for free, which saves a lot of logistical headaches.
The only real downside is that they run as a full-service yard only. So if you’re the hands-on type who loves to walk through and pull your own parts, this isn’t the place for you.

2. Groveport Auto Parts and Junkyard

Address: 3501 Groveport East Rd

Getting top dollar for an old car is way easier when you’re working with the experienced, family-run team at Groveport Auto Parts and Junkyard. They have been around for over 30 years, and they will pay up to $5,000 on the spot for junk cars.
For buyers, their lot sees dozens of fresh arrivals every single day, so the selection stays pretty current.
That comes in handy if you’re giving your ride a refresh with auto window tinting and need a matching part, or you’re just trying to fix up an old engine.
They offer free towing and same-day pickup for purchased vehicles, plus a local delivery option for used parts. They even run a rewards program and the occasional giveaway to give back to loyal customers.
However, you need a valid vehicle title ready to complete any sale, because Ohio law strictly requires the paperwork before anything moves.
Got the job done fast
I had a great experience they came out and got my poor dead car out of the garage for me and took her away. The guy who did it was super friendly and got the job done fast. Honestly made the whole process painless and I would call them again without thinking twice if I had another junker to clear out of the yard.

3. U Part It

Website: http://upartit.com/
Address: 2338 Refugee Rd
Contact: (614) 444-5888
Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Finding a yard that works for both hands-on mechanics and folks who prefer pre-pulled parts can really change your whole repair game. U Part It runs both self-serve and full-service yards, plus a dedicated eBay store for buying pulled parts online.
You can save money by bringing your own tools to the self-serve side, or just go with their direct shipping option straight from the full-service facility if you want zero hassle.
They also back parts with warranties, which gives you a nice bit of peace of mind when you’re buying something pricier like an engine or transmission.
The catch is that these warranties only apply to full-service customers. If you go the self-serve route, the parts you pull don’t come with any standard warranty coverage. So DIY folks take on all the risk if a part turns out to be a dud after they get it home.
Pleased with the pricing
Pleased with the pricing thus far. Vehicles are on concrete, not dirt. It’s not “white glove clean” but it’s as clean as reasonably possible. I’m impressed. Vehicles were surprisingly nice. I only wish they were open later in the weekdays or on Sunday. But I completely respect a business that lets their employees have Sunday with their families. Nice folks there, too. Thank you

4. Woody’s Used Parts and Junk Cars

Website: http://www.woodyssalvage.com/
Address: 1988 McKinley Ave
Contact: (614) 276-2597
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Sunday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Backed by over 50 years in the business, this massive 12-acre auto salvage lot offers top dollar for used vehicles along with a 30-day exchange policy.
Woody’s Used Parts and Junk Cars is also a gold mine for local buyers since the yard gets fresh arrivals added every single day.
A mechanic colleague of mine always heads here for older transmissions, and he keeps telling me the variety is unmatched. They accept both early and late model vehicles, so you can find anything from basic body panels to entire engines.
On the flip side, the 30-day exchange policy might not give you enough time to spot long-term issues in complex parts. If an engine develops a problem a month and a half later, you’re pretty much out of luck and stuck eating the cost.
I’m never disappointed
I’ve been going here on and off for years and I’m never disappointed, the yard is full of many types of vehicles that have all sorts of parts in any varying condition for so cheap.. I’m never disappointed in the pricing, never know what you’re gonna find! Just recently pulled a bumper in pretty decent condition for my truck and it was a perfect fit. Paid forty bucks as opposed to $200-1k for a replacement bumper

5. Edison Automotive Inc

Website: http://edisonusedautoparts.com/
Address: 1529 McKinley Ave
Contact: (614) 274-1118
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
At Edison Automotive Inc, you get to support a yard that actually cares about eco-friendly practices, and you can patch up your ride with a clean conscience.
They’re run by the owner and his family, and they make sure every purchased vehicle is properly drained of fluids before any parts are pulled, which keeps the local ecosystem in better shape.
They also feature a dedicated self-pull yard with solid discounts for hands-on buyers, plus a tire department stocked with pre-priced options that take the guesswork out of shopping.
If you’re looking to get rid of a scrap car, their team will pay you right on the spot, which is a nice touch.
Heads up, they strictly issue payments in cash for junk cars. That can be a bit awkward if you would rather get a secure check or a digital transfer when you’re dealing with a larger payout instead of walking around with a wad of bills.
I will shop here again
