You get to experience the entire hands-on process from shaping your piece to glazing it. I actually brought a friend here last month, and we really enjoyed how their class covered the clay and final kiln firing.
They also offer open studio access for independent work, making it a great place to return once you build your skills.
Just be aware that some finished pieces can crack or get lost during the final kiln firing, which happens occasionally but isn’t always communicated clearly upfront.
Made the class enjoyable
I’ve taken a few classes at Lifestyle Pottery. The instructor made the class enjoyable and tailored her teach to what each group needed. The studio is clean and well designed making it perfect for a girls night or date night. There’s lots of beautiful vases, bowls, and other premade pottery at the entrance perfect for gifting something unique if you are looking for a special gift to grab. This spot is a must if you’re in the Columbus area. Couldn’t recommend more!

Went to a private group class with Sam. She was a great instructor and was patient with everyone. The studio is small but was plenty large enough for our group of 8. We did a 90-minute class and had time to do 4 projects (which you pick 2 when finished). They have classes weekly, open studio, and have private classes. Once you’re finished, your projects can be picked up in 4 weeks. They do have aprons to wear. The parking lot is in front and on the side of the building.

I started with just a class with my friend who is autistic. Everyone we crossed paths with were so accommodating and willing to support him. We then became members and built ourselves a nice little community. We’re in the Delaware area, and the trip is always worth the drive to the south side location.

I had an amazing time
Did a private more freestyle ceramics session with some friends and had an amazing time! I’ve always wanted to try ceramics as an adult and uptown facilitated a great experience. The owner was very helpful and friendly making the experience go smoothly. I made a mug that I look forward to using soon! Still have to go glaze my piece but that is almost like a 2nd full date as well.
