The Ellis is a party venue that’s known for its industrial design: exposed bricks, vaulted ceilings, and arched windows. It’s popular for weddings, but it can also be used for corporate meetings and birthday parties.
The venue is an open floor plan, so you can design the place around your party’s theme. It can accommodate up to 175 guests, depending on the event layout.
Not to mention there’s also a mezzanine for smaller parties and an outdoor courtyard for that al fresco vibe.
And they’re not just about being a venue. They actually offer a full-service event planning that can include catering, a DJ, and even the teardown by the end of the party. It’s a pretty nice option, considering how much they can take off your plate.
Pricing is quote-based. They do require a non-refundable $1,000 deposit, plus a 22% service fee and 7.5% sales tax, which are added to the final bill.
Overall, many of its past clients say that the venue is great, as well as the team—very hands-on and professional. The only downside mentioned was the small parking area.

2. High Line Car House

High Line Car House is a historic event venue located in Columbus’s Brewery District. Originally built in 1873 as a trolley barn, it features soaring ceilings and large windows that allow for abundant natural light.
The layout is pretty flexible. There’s the main hall for the main event, and there’s also a veranda if you prefer something outdoorsy.
Capacity-wise, it can handle smaller gatherings of 30 up to 200 seated and 300 standing guests, covering most birthday party scales.
They are exclusively catered by their partner, Together & Company. So food, bar, and service are to be coordinated with one vendor. But you’ll still get the freedom with other elements like entertainment, decor, and such.
Pricing depends on the season. Their peak season (April to December) rental cost ranges from 3,500 to $5,000, while off-peak (January to March) rates are around $2,000 and $5,000. To reserve your date, you’ll be required to pay the full rental price.
It’s definitely not a budget-friendly option, but the convenience through bundled essentials (catering, furniture, planning supports, etc.) is what seals the deal for many customers.

3. Strongwater

Strongwater is housed in a century-old warehouse, featuring brick walls, high ceilings, and large windows. It was formerly a public restaurant but now operates as a private event space that can accommodate up to 300 guests.
For the spaces, you get different options: the main event space, the annex for intimate meetings, and an outdoor courtyard. Alongside the venue, they can also offer in-house catering, bar services, and planning assistance from their team.
The rental fee ranges from $4,000 to $7,000 for peak season, and $3,000 to $6,000 for off-peak. That includes 2 hours of setup and 6 hours of event time.
If you include the food and beverage in the package, the additional costs are around $8,000 to $12,000, depending on the season.
However, many customers preferred to look for other F&B vendors, saying that the menu listings offered here are limited and a little expensive.

“This is an awesome place for a dinner date, birthday, or special occasion. I made a general reservation for my wife’s birthday. I told them it was a special occasion. Guess what they do? They proceed to give us a PRIVATE room for two in an awesome mid-century environment. It was private, quiet and we were given excellent service. The food was delicious with huge portions (recommend Mac & Cheese). The whole restaurant gives off just a great vibe that makes me want to come back for happy hours and other future dinners. Add-ons like decor styling, event attendants, and so on are optional. You can bring your own catering, entertainment, and even bartenders (as long as they’re licensed!)—giving customers more freedom compared to other venues with strict in-house requirements.
This venue is perfect for smaller celebrations, let’s say up to 100 guests, and it’s pretty well-equipped for its size. You get modern furnishings, sound system, and ADA-accessible restrooms—not to mention, the venue is also wheelchair-accessible.
The provider is frequently described as a “stress-free” option due to the convenience it gives and the team’s hands-on coordination.
The only gripe is that the parking area is shared with other businesses, so it can be difficult to find a spot, especially on weekends.

If you’re looking for that simple and intimate venue, Vibe Venue Events is designed exactly for that. Typically accommodating up to 75 guests, the place is equipped with the essentials, such as chairs, uplighting, and more.
Aside from the space, they can also provide decor rentals, styling services, and setup support. So, basically, you can choose to either go full-service planning or just rent the place and bring your own vendors.
Their rental rates are hourly-based. For Monday to Thursday, they charge $75/hour, while weekends are typically higher. They are, in fact, one of the affordable options out there, and they don’t require any minimum hours.
To secure your date, you’ll be required to pay a non-refundable 50% deposit. And it’s quite nice that they also offer payment plan options to make the cost more manageable.
