1. OX-B’s

Address: 1175 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201
Contact: (614) 705-6000
Hours: Tue – Thu: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Fri – Sat: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM, Sun: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Craving big flavor customization and a lot of alternative protein choices? That’s basically the appeal of OX-B’s.
They lean heavily into variety, especially with wing styles like smoked chicken and crispy tofu. These go really well with their house-seasoned waffle fries, since the fries add a pretty strong salty crunch and round out the meal in a satisfying way.
We ordered one of their family-sized packages for a small gathering recently, and the smoked options were gone almost immediately.
The customization side is also a big part of the experience. You can mix and match dry rubs pretty freely.
Plus, ordering through their app is fairly smooth and straightforward.
That said, takeout consistency can be a bit uneven. It’s worth double-checking your bag before leaving, since some orders can come out a little oily or occasionally miss a requested side sauce.
The chicken and waffles fries with white Mac is a whole filling meal
Yum yum yum!! The chicken and waffles fries with white Mac is a whole filling meal. The tofu wings were fantastic. I loved that the jalapeño poppers had red peppers in them. It was a refreshing touch to them! The salad mix used for the grilled chicken was super fresh and crisp which I absolutely loved!

The sauces for the wings were very good!
Wanted a place to eat and watch the Sunday football games, and found this place! The sauces for the wings were very good! I don’t like spicy so I tried the sweet BBQ, it was just the right sweet/tangy. The apps and chicken sandwich were also good as well! Nice place to hang out with friends/family and eat some good food.

2. Roosters

Address: 897 City Park Ave, Columbus, OH 43206
Contact: (614) 444-8848
Hours: Daily: 11:00 AM – 11:15 PM
If you want an established Ohio restaurant brand with a fun, casual atmosphere, this long-standing chain is a staple for local wing lovers.
Roosters builds its entire identity around traditional and boneless chicken wings tossed in a huge selection of signature sauces. The menu stretches far beyond basket options to include burgers and massive party trays perfect for game days.
What we really love about this place is that you can easily check nutritional facts and allergen information directly online before ordering.
The metropolitan footprint also makes it super accessible, no matter what neighborhood you find yourself in.
However, some late-night carryout orders suffer from a bit of preparation inconsistency, sometimes resulting in soggy wing textures or cold food by the time you get home.
The wings were savory and crispy.
Walked in to place my to-go order and the staff up front was very nice. Ordered the Traditional Wings, 10 wings, 1 flavor (Korean BBQ) with blue cheese.
The wings were savory and crispy. Enjoyed every last one.

Wings were good as the fries
Walked in on a busy college football Saturday. Ordered wings, roosters nest fries and bobs big burger. Filled up with drinks as food came out late. Wings were good as the fries. Burger was less delightful. Seem and tasted like a frozen patty with grilled markings.

Hours: Wed – Sat: 11:00 AM–10:00 PM, Sun: 11:00 AM–9:00 PM, Mon: 11:00 AM–8:00 PM
If you’re looking for a truly independent spot with unique flavor combinations, Mean Mug Wings & Things fits that vibe pretty well.
The focus here is clearly on house-made wing sauces and seasonings, along with straightforward comfort food like hand-cut fries and hand-pattied burgers.
What really stood out when we visited recently was how attentive the service was. The dry rubs also felt more creative than what you usually get from bigger chain-style menus.
It has that small, neighborhood-restaurant energy where experimentation is part of the appeal rather than an exception.
The main drawback is the online ordering system. It can be a bit confusing, especially when it comes to delivery zones and service area limits.
Both perfectly crispy, perfectly juicy
The wings and the sauces and everything are amazing. I got the blue cheese burger tonight and I’d take a picture but it’s already inhaled. I also got orange chicken wings bone in all drums and mean mug signature sauce boneless wings. Both perfectly crispy, perfectly juicy and the sauces are the best. You won’t regret anything.

One of the best chicken wings
The wings and sauces here are AMAZING. I came to try this place out after reading about them on the Facebook Wings Connoisseur page and I will say one of the best chicken wings I had in a while!

4. Wings & Things

Website: https://www.wingsandthingscolumbus.com/
Address: 127 E 5th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43201
Contact: (614) 297-7573
Hours: Mon – Sun: 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Late-night cravings are pretty much the whole point of Wings & Things.
They run on a late schedule, opening in the afternoon and staying open well past midnight. This makes them a go-to for post-work or late-evening food runs.
The menu stays focused on straightforward, shareable comfort food, like crispy tenders, wings, and even hot strombolis. It’s clearly built for quick, satisfying orders rather than a long dine-in experience.
That’s probably why the setup leans heavily toward takeout and delivery convenience.
Ordering online is generally simple, whether you’re grabbing a solo meal or putting together a larger platter for a group.
The downside is their limited scope. You won’t find a wide range of salads or more complex entrées, since the menu is intentionally streamlined.
And because they open at 4:00 PM, they’re not an option if you’re looking for a lunchtime wing fix.
5. Press Grill

Website: https://www.presscolumbus.com/
Address: 741 N. High St, Columbus, OH 43215
Contact: (614) 298-1014
Hours: Mon – Sat: 11:30 AM–1:00 AM, Sun: 12:00 PM–1:00 AM
Press Grill has that lively neighborhood feel that makes it a solid spot for late-night dining or catching a game in the Short North Arts District.
The menu leans into comfort food with a slight twist, especially their Buffalo wings, which come in familiar flavors like honey mustard and tangy barbecue.
These wings pair easily with local craft beer on tap or drinks from their full bar, which helps keep the pub atmosphere energetic throughout the week.
It’s the kind of place where you’ll often find local professionals gathering after work, and the overall vibe stays pretty upbeat and social.
That said, it can get tight inside when the weekend crowd comes in, so seating may feel a bit cramped during peak hours.
They also use shared frying oil for seafood and wings, which could be an issue if you have strict dietary restrictions.
Food, pizza or wings this is the spot!
Absolutely love this place. If you are visiting Columbus and in the mood for diner food pizza or wings this is the spot! It has all the charm of a diner with being a cool bar at the same time. Anytime I visit here this will be a must stop! Also they are open until 1AM for anyone looking for a late night bite.

A good bite to eat!
This is one of my favorite spots to grab a drink and a good bite to eat!
This location has the Touch Tunes jukebox so you can download the app from your phone and pay to play your choice of music.
I recommend the onion rings, BBQ or Buffalo wings, and the house made ranch. The burgers are a hit as well!
