Modo Yoga is a community-focused studio that hosts a weekly fundraiser for local and international non-profits.

The studio is known for its hot yoga, where classes are conducted in heated rooms reaching around 98ºF to 102ºF. This might feel intense at first, but many people actually end up loving it once they adjust (just don’t skip on the hydration!) 

They offer a variety of classes such as Modo Flow, Modo Calm, Yin, and more. But their signature offering is the “Modo sequence,” which includes 40 postures that can improve strength and flexibility.

We also like that their plans are flexible. You can start with their intro month with 30 days of unlimited classes, then you can choose between monthly/yearly memberships, or buy individual classes in bulk (e.g., 5-class or 10-class cards).

They even host donation-based classes for $10. Not only is it more accessible for those on a tight budget, but 100% of the revenue goes to charities as well. 

However, some students noted that the class sizes can be too large sometimes (one even mentioned joining a class with 45 people). This can feel uncomfortable in an already heated environment.

Rewild Yoga is another hot power yoga studio, where the room is heated at around 89º to 95ºF. The air quality is controlled here as well. They use a ventilation system that constantly pushes in fresh air so the room won’t feel stuffy. 

What makes them unique is that the classes here don’t follow a structured sequence. Rather, the routine depends on the instructor’s experience or “feel” for the day.

They do follow a class type with varied intensity or a specific theme. For example, their signature “Power Flow” offers a more athletic and creative workout. There are blackout classes as well for those who prefer to practice in the dark. 

The studio also offers flexible ways to get started. There’s a first-timer deal of 4 classes for $25, which is honestly a pretty accessible starting point. Then you have the options for membership programs or class packs, along with private group classes. 

We also like that classes run daily from early morning to evening, so you get plenty of options in case you don’t have a lot of free time. 

But many shared that the classes can be challenging, though the instructors are supportive and will provide each student with personalized feedback.

“Rewild is my favorite place. Since the first time I came, it felt like home. It’s since then has been a safe space for me to come and leave feeling brand new. I rave about it to everyone and encourage people to come and experience it. I have participated in South Baths, rage classes and hot yoga. My favorite part is when the lights are turned off and it’s just the red light on. Always great energy there. I can’t recommend it enough.”

What makes it a go-to spot is probably its wide variety of offerings that cater to both beginners and long-time yoga enthusiasts. First of all, they provide options for both heated, warm, and non-heated classes. 

Then the classes are broken into several types with varying intensity levels. There are sessions for meditation, deep stretch, weighted workouts, and so much more. 

So, if you have a goal you would like to focus on (e.g., flexibility, mindfulness, stress relief, etc.), there’s something for you at GoYoga. 

Pricing seems reasonable too. You can start with an intro offer of 4 classes for $40. Then, if you decide to commit, their unlimited monthly membership for $99 is a great deal (that includes access to all 10 studios and the digital library for yoga at home!)

The only thing clients found off-putting is that they can be a little pushy with renewals, which puts pressure on those who want to cancel their membership.
