Fast forward to now, my very stressful adult life, where no amount of rest seems to give me real relief. I finally got the “hype” when my co-worker invited me to a massage service in Columbus.
I felt like I was a whole new person who was ready to take on anything: my body felt lighter, and my mind quieter. If you also want to get rid of that “invisible weight” you’re carrying for so long, you might want to give these places a try.

Massage services in Columbus usually cost $70 to $100 per hour for standard services, while luxurious spa experiences can go over $150. The price depends on the duration, type of service, and add-ons.

Massage Escape is a top-tier facility specializing in therapeutic sessions to manage chronic pain and muscle discomfort.
The members here have at least 750 hours of massage experience—and they’re not just any therapists. In fact, the team consists of professionals who are licensed in specific areas, such as Sports Massage and Acupressure.
And if you really need that extra relief, you can actually customize your session by combining up to 10 different massage types. For example, you get deep tissue for your back, Reflexology for your feet, and more.
What we like most about this is that these aren’t treated as add-ons. You’ll be paying for the time rather than the type of massage used.
Speaking of price, a standard 60-minute regular massage sits at $70, with shorter or longer options as well. While prenatal, couples, and customized massages are slightly higher, it’s somewhat more budget-friendly compared to many spas.
Overall, clients are satisfied with the service they got here. But sometimes, they notice the techs are talking to each other during the session, which can feel impersonal.

I love this place so much
“I don’t get to do things for myself often and am very nervous in social situations. I have scoliosis, herniated discs, and arthritis. I had been wanting to get a massage for a long time to help with the pain. I’m so glad I chose this place. I went there the first time prior to taking boards a few years ago. I live almost 2 hours away, and anytime I’m going to be in the area, I schedule a session. They do a great job getting deep into the muscle, and I leave pain-free, which is saying a lot. I love this place so much, I wish they would move closer to me is the only con! lol.”

Tropical Touch Spas has been operating for 12 years, and is part of a franchise with around 17 locations in Michigan and Ohio. It specializes in relaxation-based massages, providing services such as acupressure and Reiki.
It’s well-known for its tropical-theme interiors that create a vacation-like atmosphere to soothe the senses.
One of the specialties here is the 4-Hand full-body massage, where two therapists will do the massage simultaneously. Clients we spoke to said that this kind, in particular, is great for stress.
By pricing, Tropical Touch is a bit more expensive. Regular sessions start at $90, while their special offerings range from $180 to $620, depending on the duration.
To add, any session can be enhanced with some add-ons, like heated Himalayan salt hot stones, typically priced around $10 each.
One thing to note, though, is that it’s not a medical massage clinic, so some clients are worried about the therapists being unlicensed. But looking on the brighter side, many of them praised the attentive team and the great massage quality.

Oriental Massage & Spa is a wellness center that’s known for its traditional Asian healing practices. Founded in 2010, all massage therapists here are trained and licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
The spa offers a pretty good range of services, starting from their signature deep tissue massage to Swedish and reflexology. They even offer the traditional back-walking technique for those who prefer a deeper pressure.
We also like the facility and amenities. The spa provides private rooms for individual sessions, as well as a special room for couples’ massage—some treatments even include free sauna and shower.
And considering these added features, pricing seems competitive. It starts at $60 and can go up to over $100, depending on the duration and package.
While they do have a lot of regulars, some clients shared that sometimes, the attendant would directly ask for tips. This makes them feel pressured or uncomfortable.

Open Sky Day Spa opened its doors in 2005 and now operates in two locations in the city. It’s women-owned, and every therapist here is a Licensed Massage Therapist or a licensed esthetician.
Many clients appreciate the place for being LGBTQ+ friendly and accessible, providing wheelchair-accessible parking and entrances.
The spa also offers various therapeutic massage and skincare services, including its signature Ashiatsu Massage and Ashi-Thai. You can even pair your massage with a yoga session if you want to go for that full mind-and-body relief.
Besides massage services, they also offer advanced skin treatments, such as HydraFacials and dermaplaning.
Their pricing starts at $50 and scales up the longer the duration you choose. It’s pretty affordable and not to mention, they have weekly specials. It’s when you can get up to $10 off select services.
Overall, it’s a great spot with pretty good prices and amenities. The only thing to note is that the spa is by appointment only, so book accordingly.

The Limber Loft is a boutique massage spa that offers tailored sessions for stress relief and flexibility gains. They have standard body massages, foot therapy, Chinese medicine soak, and more–you can bundle them if you’re targeting various areas.
What makes them different is that they add assisted stretching to their session. It helps target hard-to-reach areas more precisely and brings better relief, especially in tight muscles.
Their individual and couples sessions range from 30 to 120 minutes, usually starting at $60 and scaling up to $140. It leans on the mid-range, but with more inclusions like complimentary hot stones and essential oils.
The only common concern from clients is the language barrier. Many of them mentioned that some of the therapists don’t speak English, which caused misunderstandings when it came to leaving specific instructions about the massage.
