Contact Details: +1 614-454-6765
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Led by Pete Lobert, The Care Center has been servicing Columbus for over 10 years. His practice specializes in marital couples counseling and trauma recovery.
I’m glad to hear that Pete is licensed under the CSWMFT Board, which is a must for services like these.
Couple counseling here deals with several issues, such as conflict, infidelity, and blended families. During the first appointment alone, couples have the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings.
Couples also enjoyed some of the one-on-one sessions, which helped Pete get to know them better as individuals.
The team can also provide faith-based counseling, which is perfect for religious individuals. Additionally, they provide tools, such as verbal exercises, that can help resolve conflict before it escalates.
As for fees, they are quite upfront about these. While they don’t accept any insurance, which is unfortunate, the fees are quite reasonable at around $165 per session.
Pete is an excellent therapist
“I highly recommend Pete! My wife and I initially saw him for marriage counseling, and now I continue to work with him individually for career-related concerns. Pete is an excellent therapist – compassionate, insightful, and truly dedicated to helping you work through challenges. If you’re looking for someone you can trust and connect with, Pete is the person to go to!”

Has been amazing as both an individual and a couples therapist
“Pete has been amazing as both an individual and couples therapist. He establishs great rapport which makes it easy to talk about hard topics. He doesn’t give an easy out which I greatly appreciate. He is inquisitive about me as a person and asks great questions to get to the root of the issue. I appreciate when he provides real examples of things he himself has encountered. I highly recommend Pete if you are in need of either individual or couples therapy. He has worked wonders for me personally and that has greatly improved my relationship with my wife – for that, I am truly thankful. Thank you for all you do.”

2. Heit Counseling

Address: 1115 Bethel Rd, OH 43220
Contact Details: +1 614-361-8928
Operating Hours: Monday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Heit Counseling combines experience and practical tools to help couples communicate more effectively in their relationships. Led by Molly M. Heit—an experienced, LGBTQ+-affirming therapist fluent in ASL—the practice offers a uniquely inclusive approach.
Marriage counseling caters to all relationships, married or not. Sessions are designed to establish clear boundaries that strengthen relationships while providing a sense of security for both parties. Patients enjoy the collaborative experience that therapy here provides.
Sex therapy is also provided here, which I found to be great for couples having trouble in the bedroom or individuals having a difficult time during it.
Molly is also well-suited to deaf and disabled individuals, given her extensive experience with them. Patients can even avail the individual therapy services, which easily tackle the root causes of a patient’s anxiety and depression.
Still, appointments will be spread out over a few weeks because Heit is the only therapist.
Molly was fantastic to work with
“Molly was fantastic to work with! She was attentive, easy going, and honest about helping my spouse and I through some relationship issues. We loved her sense of humor, which is exactly what we needed in a couples therapist. She was very easy to talk with and helped us prioritize what was most important to us. We appreciate all her work with us and feel in a better place than we ever have been!”

After just a few sessions, we were already noticing real progress
“Molly is a wonderful, skilled therapist! My husband and I came in with a complex, nontraditional blended family system, and after just a few sessions we were already noticing real progress. I’m a licensed therapist myself (10+ years), and I deeply value the way Molly asks thoughtful, challenging questions that help us dig deep and strengthen our connection. After 9 years together, we’ve always been intentional about our relationship, and working with Molly has only made us more connected and happier than ever. We’re so grateful for her!”

Founded in 2020, husband and wife Dr. Meghana Mahambrey and Andy Kuss, SPARK has been helping couples across Ohio reconnect.
With specialty training from the Gottman Institute and renowned psychotherapist Esther Perel, both of them are great at connecting with couples on a deeper level.
Their unique form of couples therapy uses a metaphysical approach. They call this “Coaching”, and it’s a solution-focused approach. There are also date night guides and events couples love that help them reconnect and find new ways to feel attracted to one another.
The first free 15-minute consult call is a game-changer, since it allows couples to gauge whether Mahambrey and Kuss are right for them. Additionally, sessions come in bulk, from 4 sessions to 12. These can be availed solo or as a couple.
Still, I find the pricing high, ranging from $295 to $2,695. This range also depends on the number of sessions.
It was an amazing time, and I can’t wait to do more retreats
“HAPPILY EVER AFTER: A Modern Couple’s Retreat!!!
This retreat was absolutely amazing! It gave my husband and I tools to improve all the aspects of our marriage. It was a small intimate setting with a delicious breakfast being provided.
The retreat focused on the book, “The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work.” Meghna and Andy did a wonderful guiding us through the 7 Principles. We worked on the Principles both privately as a couple and also in a group setting.
It was an amazing time and I can’t wait to do more retreats and webinars with Meghna and Andy.
I think any couple could benefit from this retreat. Meghna and her husband Andy are phenomenal at their jobs. I would highly recommend this retreat to everyone!!”

Inspiring Purpose Counseling Group was founded by a trio of passionate owners who were once just interns at counseling practices across Columbus. Now, they and their 16 workers are the first all-woman-owned and black-owned private counseling in Columbus.
The couple’s counseling here focuses on impressive pre-marital relationships. They aim to create a space where intimacy and vulnerability are accepted, enabling clients to be open with both counselors and their partners.
