It’s really impressive that everything is fully vegan and made primarily with organic ingredients, yet the results still feel indulgent rather than “diet-focused.”
We also like how flexible their flavor options are. Being able to customize things like lavender or ube for events makes it feel more personal. That kind of creativity is also what sets them apart from standard bakeries.
Our team tried one of their chai rounds, and the dairy-free frosting was surprisingly rich and satisfying.
The main drawback, though, is planning time. You really do need to order at least seven days in advance for custom items, which doesn’t work well for last-minute events.
Their pricing is also a bit higher than grocery store options. But that’s expected given the ingredient quality and made-to-order approach.
Not only beautiful, but delicious!
Pattycake has been my favorite bakery for a while now, so I was so excited to have them make my wedding cake! We got spice cake with whipped cream cheese frosting. We got some gluten-free cupcakes as well. Our cake was not only beautiful, but delicious! Multiple guests commented on how great the cake was. The ordering process was easy (Simona is so nice and responded to my emails in a timely manner) and the delivery option was super convenient.

Kittie’s Cakes is one of those café-bakery hybrids that really leans into creativity rather than sticking to predictable menu items.
What stands out most is how fresh everything is. Everything is baked from scratch early in the morning, so the selection in the glass cases has that just-made appeal, especially the rotating mini cupcakes.
We also like how versatile the space seems. It works just as easily for a quick coffee and pastry stop as it does for something more organized, like putting together a full dessert table for a corporate event.
The cozy atmosphere adds to that flexibility, making it feel approachable rather than overly formal.
Another strength is convenience. Having multiple locations across the city makes it easier to grab something like a cinnamon roll without going far out of your way.
The main downside, though, is the rotating menu. Because flavors change frequently, there’s always a chance your favorite item won’t be available when you visit.

I got my wedding cake here and what impressed me the most is eating my topper on our anniversary when that cake unthaw it tasted just as delicious as it was on my wedding day it let me know that the quality of the ingredients used to make my wedding cake were pure and good quality and it was delicious. Now blowing the roof off the wedding cake
This is the original location. Mollie and Kelly are very nice and super chill. They love dogs and cake, so, that makes them amazing human beings. As an homage to Mollie’s mom, Kittie, they opened this adorable bakery that is now blowing the roof off the wedding cake and party cupcake biz in Columbus. Kelly put her SoCal stamp on the Bexley, OH version of the bakery with an extended menu and cocktails too! Did I mention that their cinnamon roll was voted #1 in Columbus….but, you already knew that.

They maintain a great balance between highly customized, visually driven cakes and a pricing structure that still feels relatively accessible for repeat customers.
We also like how flexible their offerings are beyond traditional tiered cakes. Things like cheesecake bite platters and cake pops make them feel more like a full dessert studio than a single-product bakery.
The same-day delivery option is another standout, especially if you’re in a pinch. I’ve had a situation where a last-minute order like that genuinely saved a whole event.
That said, their model does seem a bit capacity-sensitive. During busy holiday periods, they sometimes pause new orders entirely.
The intake process also sounds fairly minimal, so you may not get a lot of back-and-forth consultation.

The cake I ordered was absolutely fantastic! Not only was it beautiful but the flavor was also amazing! I will be returning for future events. The shop leans heavily on traditional, from-scratch recipes, which gives it that nostalgic “old-school bakery” feel. This is especially evident in staples like white, yellow, and chocolate sheet cakes that are clearly built for crowd-pleasing events.
We also like the convenience factor. Being able to get everything in one place (donuts, pastries, sheet cakes, and even tiered centerpieces) makes it a practical choice for big gatherings like reunions.
The trade-off seems to be consistency on more complex items. Heavier tiered cakes may not always hold up perfectly during transport.
We’ve also heard reports that some specialty cakes can lean a bit dry compared to fresher, smaller-batch bakeries.
Overall, it feels dependable for quantity and tradition, but a little less refined when it comes to intricate custom work.

The ability to customize fillings and icings, plus add savory items like empanadas, makes it feel more like a full celebration spread rather than just a bakery stop.
That said, the execution seems a bit inconsistent at times. While the presentation can look impressive, some customers feel the taste doesn’t always match the visual appeal.

Amazing cake designs
I’ve ordered two cakes from here now and have been extremely pleased both times! Especially my last order, they went above and beyond for. I was so excited for my partners birthday and wanted to place a cake order but they were closed on the day he and I were going to celebrate. Adriana let me know she would still take the order due to already being there and had it ready for me to pick up. Amazing cake designs is what got me to place the order but the customer service is what brought me back!
