5 Columbus Clinics with the Best Gynecologists for Compassionate Women’s Health Care

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Clinical Expertise: We looked at board certification, specialized training, and whether the providers had experience with routine and complex reproductive health needs. Practices with strong hospital ties or specialized care options stood out.

Patient Comfort: Gynecologic visits can feel vulnerable, so bedside manner mattered. We paid attention to providers known for listening, explaining options clearly, and creating a comfortable exam experience.

Service Access: We considered how easy it is to schedule appointments, complete testing, and get follow-up support. Clinics with in-house diagnostics, digital tools, or nurse practitioner access earned extra points.

Care Continuity: We checked whether clinics had clear hospital affiliations or care pathways for pregnancy, surgery, and specialty needs. This helps patients know where they will be referred if their care gets more involved.

Communication and Transparency: We looked for straightforward policies around hours, after-hours guidance, and administrative support. Clear communication can make billing, scheduling, and urgent concerns less confusing.

Taking care of reproductive health is personal, and finding the best gynecologist in Columbus can make a routine visit feel far less stressful.

Whether you need preventive care, pregnancy support, obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) guidance, or help with symptoms that are hard to explain, the right provider should make you feel heard.

To make the search easier, I narrowed this list to clinics with strong credentials, practical access, and patient care that feels grounded.

Read on to know my top picks. You may also want to pair medical visits with nearby kinesiologists or mental health clinics if you’re building a fuller wellness routine!

1. Columbus OB/GYN Taylor Station, Reynoldsburg, Blacklick, and Gahanna

Website: https://columbusobgyn.com/

Address: 150 Taylor Station Rd. Suite 300

Contact: 614-434-2400

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Columbus OB/GYN has the kind of long local history (dating back to the 1920s) that makes routine care feel a little less intimidating.

A friend of mine has gone to this Taylor Station office for years and always mentions the quick wait times and comfortable space.

It’s also convenient here, since patients get access to a wide range of in-house testing, including bone density exams and 3D mammograms.

I also like that there are even wellness extras, such as laser hair removal and functional medicine checkups, alongside standard gynecologic visits.

The main drawback here is the schedule. They close at noon on Fridays and do not offer evening or weekend hours, so working patients may need to plan around their appointments.

Pros

  • Broad procedure range
  • On-site diagnostic testing
  • Multiple regional locations
  • Established medical history

Cons

  • Limited business hours
  • Potential schedule delays

My appointment was seamless

My appointment was seamless from scheduling, seeing the doctor, and checking out to schedule another appointment. Dr. Ghude was amazing at explaining any treatments available that I may need, as well as the importance of yearly evaluations post menopause. Very nice and clean office and easy to find.

He is very caring and friendly

Since I am in my senior years (73), I’ve had two OB/GYNs that have retired. I felt very lucky to find Dr. Green a few years ago. He is very caring and friendly and puts you totally at ease. All of the nurses and office people are also very friendly!

2. Women Physicians in Obstetrics and Gynecology (WPIO) Inc.

Website: http://www.wpiobgyn.com/

Address: 3525 Olentangy River Road Suite 6350

Contact: 614-734-3347

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Women Physicians in Obstetrics and Gynecology (WPIO) Inc. works well for patients who feel more comfortable with an all-female medical team.

Every physician is board-certified, and the group has exclusive privileges at Riverside Methodist Hospital. This setup can be reassuring if you want your office and delivery care connected.

I liked how much support they place around routine questions, too. In particular, their nurse practitioners can help with annual visits, birth control counseling, and quicker follow-up needs without making every concern feel like a full specialist appointment.

The tradeoff is after-hours support. The practice doesn’t offer phone triage outside normal office hours, so urgent concerns may need to be handled in an emergency room instead. It can feel inconvenient if you prefer direct clinic guidance after work.

Pros

  • Board-certified female physicians
  • Advanced surgical options
  • Dedicated nurse practitioners
  • Strong hospital affiliation

Cons

  • Single hospital affiliation
  • No after-hours triage

The best OB/GYN that I’ve ever had

I love this practice! I see Dr. Erin May throughout my pregnancy and she is the best OB/GYN that I’ve ever had, hands down, caring, smart, and knowledgeable. She delivered my little baby boy when she was on call and made it super easy and smooth.

She was amazing throughout my pregnancy

I have been going to this practice since 2013. I recently had a baby in July 2023 and saw Dr. Wajahn for my care throughout my pregnancy. She was amazing throughout my pregnancy and during a very difficult labor, delivery, and recovery. I can’t recommend her enough!

3. Associates in Central Ohio Obstetrics & Gynecology

Website: https://acoog-obgyn.com/

Address: 6482 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068

Contact: (614) 856-0327

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Associates in Central Ohio Obstetrics & Gynecology is a strong fit for patients who want a community practice with modern digital tools.

Impressively, this clinic has spent more than four decades serving central Ohio and offers support for vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), which can matter a lot for parents planning a specific delivery experience.

I helped my sister-in-law schedule a visit here, and the office arranged language support during the same call. That kind of accessibility makes the process feel less stressful before the appointment even starts.

Patients also have access to Privia Health tools such as virtual visits and mobile messaging, which adds to the convenience.

The downside is that some patients mention occasional front-desk or billing frustrations, so insurance verification may take extra patience.

Pros

  • Deep community trust
  • Compassionate bedside manner
  • Helpful digital tools
  • VBAC support available

Cons

  • Occasional scheduling issues
  • Minor billing frustrations

The whole experience is truly amazing

Dr. Susan Davy is the best OB/GYN. I had my two babies, and I’m having my third one. She took care of me from 2020 until now. Best experience, and I trust her completely. The whole experience in this office is just truly amazing.

She actually takes the time to listen

I have seen Dr. Taliani at both the Westerville and Reynoldsburg locations, and I can’t recommend her enough. She is the first OB/GYN I’ve seen, and overall she made the experience less nerve-wracking. She actually takes the time to listen to you and answer any questions you have.

4. Ohio State Obstetrics and Gynecology Kenny Road

Website: https://wexnermedical.osu.edu/

Address: 2020 Kenny Road

Contact: 614-293-3069

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

The Ohio State Obstetrics and Gynecology Kenny Road is a good choice when you want academic medical expertise without going straight to the main hospital campus.

It’s particularly great that this clinic is backed by Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. With this, they can handle lifelong gynecologic care, including more complex concerns like chronic pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction.

I also like that the Kenny Road location still feels practical for routine visits. The free parking is a genuine perk here, especially compared with navigating a large hospital garage.

Just a heads up: the office is for outpatient visits only, so the limitation is scope. Major surgeries and deliveries happen elsewhere within the system.

Also, their Monday through Friday hours can be tough if you have a traditional work schedule and need early morning or evening flexibility.

Pros

  • Highly rated physicians
  • Major academic network
  • Complex niche care
  • Free surface parking

Cons

  • Strict weekday hours
  • Outpatient services only

So kind and caring

Dr. Worley is the best gynecologist I’ve had. He’s so kind and caring. He is very open and informative about any issues that may come up. He’s gentle and compassionate, and the staff is warm and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Worley.

Always attentive, caring, and professional

I had an amazing experience at the Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Maggie Rosen supported me throughout my pregnancy and safely delivered my baby by cesarean section (C-section). She was always attentive, caring, and professional. The entire team made me feel comfortable and well-supported.

5. Cory Bennett, DO

Website: https://www.mountcarmelhealth.com/provider/

Address: 3600 Stelzer Rd Ste 220

Contact: 614-663-3888

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Dr. Cory Bennett is especially appealing for patients navigating menopause, mid-life symptoms, or prenatal care with a more holistic lens.

As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Certified Menopause Practitioner, she focuses on how different body systems connect instead of treating each concern in isolation.

Her patients often mention that she listens carefully and does not rush through appointments. That kind of communication matters when you’re discussing hot flashes, hormone replacement therapy, or pregnancy questions that feel personal.

It’s important to know that their delivery care uses a shared on-call rotation, so another physician may be present for the birth. The practice also doesn’t offer evening or weekend hours, which limits scheduling flexibility for busy patients.

Pros

  • Advanced surgical training
  • Strong patient ratings
  • Mid-life care expertise
  • Holistic medical approach

Cons

  • Limited scheduling flexibility
  • Shared delivery rotation

Incredible knowledge base

Dr. Bennett is the best obstetrics physician I have ever encountered. She has an incredible knowledge base, she is highly skilled, and she has a kind bedside manner. She wants the best for her patients, and that has been clear during every visit and through my delivery.

Outstanding through every step

We went to Dr. Bennett as new patients expecting our first child. Everyone we interacted with on our pregnancy journey was outstanding. Dr. Bennett held our hands through every step of the process, communicated with us, listened to any concerns, and willingly worked with us to find a solution.
