This made me whip up a quest to find the top courier services in Columbus for reliable options. And eventually, I did! So if you’re a small business owner, busy professional, or just a foodie like me, you can check out a review of my best picks below.

Best Courier Inc is a courier service in Columbus that you can rely on for important documents and packages.
Having been in the industry since 1979, this company can do anything from immediate courier service to out-of-town deliveries. For me, this showcases its long-standing expertise and flexibility.
On top of that, I love that it’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can get same-day services as well! This is for non-time-sensitive packages that you’re fine with being delivered within 4 hours.
These things make the team reliable for emergency deliveries (within 2 hours), which I bet can make it a go-to for many clients.
Nevertheless, a client I spoke with mentioned a missed delivery affecting her time-sensitive shipment. Because of this, I think the company still has room to improve in communication and consistency.

Aside from offering same-day deliveries, it can handle medical, legal, freight, hot shot (express), custom, and other services.
Also, I think it’s valuable that the team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you don’t have to worry about their accessibility during holidays and emergencies.
Not only that, but I find it handy for big and small businesses too! It offers cross-docking (unloading from one vehicle onto another), as well as short and long-term storage options.
However, I noticed that this company has more limited digital tracking compared to other bigger courier apps, so it’s best to consider that as well.

Reliable Couriers prides itself on being among the nation’s fastest courier services in Columbus. This option looks very dependable to me, given that it can deliver anything from an envelope to pallets of freight.
Besides being able to deliver any package no matter its weight and size, I find it convenient that it can cater to clients all over the country—even for rush services! This applies to remote office, medical, legal, and trade show pick-ups.
Other than that, I love that its website specifically mentions delivering perishables. If you need to send groceries, cakes and baked goods, and catering items, I reckon you can rely on its team.
Another thing I’m impressed by is that it can manage valuables. It has had many clients who want to have their artwork, jewelry, antiques, collectibles, and other fragile items delivered safely.
But a former client told me about experiencing longer wait times with its customer service. I feel this is inevitable, especially during peak times.

If you’re in the healthcare industry or own a small business needing medical deliveries, I believe Sameday Critical is among the most reputable courier services in Columbus for that.
This company uses AI technology to make its deliveries as speedy as possible, which tells me how innovative the team is in ensuring efficiency.
It has also made it a breeze for clients to use its online order system. Using your own account, I reckon you can easily fill out its user-friendly form in minutes.
I also appreciate that this system is monitored and updated daily. So if you select a service type that’s not currently available, it will tell you right then and there. In my book, this can save clients from delays and misunderstandings.
Need to make changes to your order that’s already en route? I’m super stoked that you can! You’ll have to call the staff via a specific hotline, so they can reroute your delivery or make other changes. Of course, do expect extra charges for those.
But since this company really focuses on local and same-day services, I feel it’s not the most suitable option for long-distance or interstate bulk deliveries. That might require different or bigger logistical capabilities.

Newark Parcel Service is a family-owned and operated freight management company offering local pickups and deliveries around Columbus. It’s been in the game for over 4 decades, and I find it incredible that it specializes in many areas too!
Besides general freight, the company focuses on handling machinery equipment, intermodal shipments (multiple transport modes), dry bulk materials (like grains and minerals), USPS (United States Postal Service) mail, paper products, and utilities.
Not only can it do air and ocean freight services, but it’s also got a full fleet of late-model vehicles ranging from subcompacts to box trucks! The way I see it, there’s no big or small cargo or logistics needed for the team.
Same-day deliveries are available as well. I think this is impressive, given that the team handles anything from small to large and complex freight.
Just note that it doesn’t operate 24/7 like other couriers, so you’ll have to schedule your deliveries in advance (preferably on weekdays).
