Imagine stepping out of your front door and immediately joining a vibrant food truck festival. Highpoint on Columbus Commons offers exactly that, boasting a prime downtown location directly along Columbus Commons Park that places you within walking distance of fantastic dining and entertainment.

When I toured their luxury townhomes, I was genuinely impressed by the premium finishes, notably the sleek granite countertops and expansive hardwood floors.

They cater beautifully to temporary residents by offering furnished and short-term options. The community amenities are quite generous, featuring a sun-drenched swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness center.

However, urban living does come with certain compromises at this property. I noticed that the presence of short-term rental guests can occasionally make the shared amenities feel crowded.

Additionally, some residents have mentioned dealing with persistent mechanical noises in specific building stacks during the night.

Pros

  • Prime downtown location near Columbus Commons Park
  • Flexible short-term and furnished lease options
  • Upscale finishes, including granite countertops
  • Strong amenity package with pool and fitness center

Cons

  • Unresolved mechanical noise issues in some units
  • Shared amenities can get crowded with short-term guests

Friendly and accommodating

Had the best move in experience. Moving almost 1000 miles I was a little weary, but the staff were friendly, accommodating, and were extremely helpful every step of the way. Communication throughout the process was impeccable. Apartment was very clean on arrival, and I couldnt recommend Highpoint more to any future renters.

Would definitely recommend!

Lived there for 7 months, had a very positive experience. Staff was friendly. I really liked their flexible lease options. We also kept the place in good shape and got all of our deposit back, which I know can be rare. We had a great view of the Columbus Commons, and a really well laid out studio apartment. Would definitely recommend!

Finding a place that balances chic design with unbeatable city access is completely possible in the Discovery District. The View on Grant stands out by offering modern apartments designed with upscale industrial-style interiors and sweeping city views right near major downtown attractions.

Their floor plans use oversized industrial windows and exposed ducts, creating a bright and unique aesthetic.

Residents thoroughly enjoy the standout rooftop patio, which includes an outdoor fireplace and grilling stations perfect for evening gatherings. The attached parking garage and in-unit washers add an essential layer of convenience for busy professionals.

Despite these excellent features, the automated parking garage system has occasional drawbacks. Malfunctions with the space-saving elevator mechanism can temporarily limit vehicle access, causing frustrating delays during your morning commute.

Pros

  • Unique industrial-style interiors with oversized windows
  • Convenient Discovery District location near universities
  • Stunning rooftop patio with skyline views
  • Pet-friendly policies accommodating cats and dogs

Cons

  • Automated parking garage occasionally malfunctions

Hours: Monday – Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM

Renters who crave a vibrant neighborhood atmosphere without sacrificing peace and quiet will love Victorian Village. Aston Place combines urban Short North living with a slightly offset location, offering luxury apartments featuring 10-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows away from the heaviest nightlife noise.

The sophisticated interiors incorporate granite countertops and luxury plank flooring for a truly elegant feel.

The community goes above and beyond with recreational spaces, offering a private courtyard complete with a bocce court and a putting green.

Flexible lease terms ranging from six to eighteen months make it a highly adaptable housing choice.

On the downside, because it sits in such an active and desirable district, the surrounding street activity can sometimes be intense. Consequently, guests might struggle to find nearby parking during busy weekends or community events.

Pros

  • Highly walkable location in the Short North area
  • Upscale 10-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows
  • Unique courtyard amenities, including a bocce court
  • Quieter residential atmosphere off the main street

Cons

  • Increased street activity in the surrounding area
  • Limited guest parking availability during events

The apartment complex itself is well situated

My experience here has been great so far. Ren and Sasha made the leasing and moving-in process smooth with their attention to detail and their overall friendliness. The apartment complex itself is well situated — offering quietude while providing access to the lively Short North. The pluses include well-designed units, a gym, off-street parking, and an outdoor lounging area. I am happy with my choice.

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM, Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM

Those wanting to be right in the middle of the action will find it hard to beat the Arena District’s edge. The Nicholas sits directly in the heart of Downtown Columbus on High Street, offering a massive variety of luxury floor plans ranging from cozy studios to sprawling three-bedroom layouts.

When a colleague of mine moved in, I was blown away by their lavish amenities, particularly the rooftop infinity-edge pool and the dedicated paw spa for their dog.

The apartments themselves feel incredibly opulent, featuring rainfall showerheads and gorgeous wide-plank flooring. Furthermore, having direct access to upscale dining venues right on site adds an undeniable level of luxury.

Naturally, being situated on a major downtown artery means dealing with the realities of city life. The noticeable street noise from heavy traffic and weekend events is definitely something to consider before signing a lease here.

Pros

  • Extensive resort-style amenities, including an infinity pool
  • Prime Downtown Columbus location on High Street
  • Luxurious bathroom finishes with rainfall showerheads
  • Direct access to on-site upscale dining venues

Cons

  • Noticeable street noise from downtown traffic and events

The location is amazing

I’ve lived here for about 3 years and I cannot recommend this apartment enough. The location is amazing at the heart of downtown and walkable to a lot of cool spots. The staff at the Nicholas is the best. They are always hosting resident events like wine and cheese happy hours or tacos and corona for cinco de Mayo! They know their residents and are prompt to respond to questions and issues. Maintenance is also incredible. They are fast and nice to interact with. We love living here!

Communication is a strong point

I love it here so much I had to move back! I’ve lived just down the street for a year, and living at the corner of gay and high makes it a positive experience to go outside with so many locations within a easy walking distance. I have also seen with this management group whenever there is anything I need they will be very prompt with fixes. Communication is a strong point with this apartment complex and is my favorite part living here.

This apartment community is beautiful

This apartment community is beautiful! I scheduled an appointment to look at the model on Saturday. There was a wonderful woman named Shaba who assisted me. She was friendly, bubbly and explained everything well. We moved in and everyone is just as helpful and friendly as her. Quiet, great location and I love the fitness center.
